Elevatorfører
Elevatorfører (DK) — your deep-sea kaleidoscopic people's orchestra
The sound of ELEVATORFØRER has its roots in the musical soil of the 60's and 70's:
Folk and psychedelic rock are, as always, sturdily embedded in the band's DNA, in recent years additionally joined by new waves of darker poetic depths which have begun washing over Elevatorfører's sonic shores as well.
However, all genre conventions are written in chalk on wet asphalt, and Elevatorfører only sounds like Elevatorfører!
With six critically acclaimed albums in their discography and a seventh on the way, Elevatorfører write themselves into newer Danish music history as a pulsating psychedelic organism, continuously moving yet solidly based on Danish-language poetic songwriting and wildly fabulating lyrics!
Elevatorfører's music is a journey through time and space to a psychedelic universe where you both get to laugh, be surprised and moved; The fuel is made up of equal parts poetry, humor and existential wonder, and the band's sound balances between jam-based rock, catchy hooks and sonic-lyrical detours.
Playing live, the band's concerts are known for intense contact and interaction with the audience, transcendent wormholes and a sense of connectedness that lifts your shoulders and soars towards the sky.
Elevatorfører was originally formed back in 2010 and now consists of Frederik Langkjær, Klaus Møller, Christian Salling, Christen Brunsgård and Lars Vinther Schmidt.
With this newly updated 5-man crew and the recording of a new album underway, Elevatorfører has set the course for new musical horizons!

"With this we are back playing with myths and with rock music, almost as if you were listening to Gong's recordings, or other bands who liked to blend teapots and junk together with everything else in a wonderfully adventurous setup at the entrance to the 70s."
— Jan Sneum / DR P6 BEAT
"Same as with previous releases, this is an extraordinarily accomplished record from the eight man collective. Overall, one simply has to say that going on a trip in the psychedelic elevator is once again a great pleasure.”
— GAFFA
“...the lyrics have just the right mix of the psychedelic and the poetic. 'Centralen' is a new Danish hippie classic, and if you're into the genre, you'll definitely adore these two releases, which are imbued with love for the material."
— Ekstra Bladet
"We got nine songs in three quarters of an hour, and it was both well played, melodic and highly entertaining. There is no doubt that Elevatorfører has a great love for the psychedelic genre, while at the same time often making a little friendly fun of it. It doesn't hurt to be reminded of one's roots from time to time, even if they derive from a euphoric plant.”
— GAFFA / Elevatorfører live review
"...an inciting groove [...] driven forward by bass, drums and organ, a groove which in the chorus gets an extra quirky power, making you want to strike every string of your air guitar."
— GFR ★★★★★
